The seasonal risk of brown marmorated stink bug infestations in sea cargo shipped from the United States is fast approaching. Importers of break-bulk, containerised vehicles, boats, machinery and machinery parts are reminded of the requirement to fumigate shipments prior to departure.

The season will run from 1st September 2016 to 30 April 2017. Measures this year are largely the same as 2015-16, with season dates, treatments and requirements for management of target goods unchanged.
